<unit, humour> About 31 mm (one inch). "atto-" is the standard SI prefix for multiplication by 10^-18. A parsec (parallax-second) is 3.26 light-years; an attoparsec is thus 3.26 * 10^-18 light years. Thus, one attoparsec per microfortnight is about one inch per second. This unit is reported to be in use (though probably not very seriously) among hackers in the UK. [Jargon File] (1996-12-08)
bogosity
Degree of bogusness in any given statement or situation
Counsellor, your statements contain a very high degree of bogosity.
God! this party is high on the bogosity level!
microcentury
One CS professor used to characterise the standard length of his lectures as a microcentury - that is, about 52.6 minutes (see also attoparsec, nanoacre, and especially microfortnight).

List of humorous units of measurement

Many people have made use of, or invented, units of measurement intended primarily for their humor value. This is a list of such units invented by sources that are notable for reasons other than having made the unit itself, and that are widely known in the Anglophone world for their humor value.
